Seeking qualified candidate for Director of Prevention and Early Intervention. Qualifications are as follows:
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education or other Human Services field (Master’s Degree preferred), along with a Certified Prevention Specialist Certification, two years’ experience in education/prevention/early intervention services, and 3-5 years’ experience managing a prevention department. Must have a valid NC driver’s license and acceptable driving record. *All licenses and certifications must remain current to maintain the position.
Duties: Leading and directing a prevention department by researching, planning, coordinating, and evaluating prevention and early intervention services that meet assessed community needs. Will be responsible for procuring and administering grants, so grant writing experience is necessary. Will serve as consultant to agency employees, school personnel, students, parents, and business representatives concerning health, prevention trends, and innovation along with community resources. Serves as a liaison between agency and local, community, and state agencies. Will develop and monitor department budget, develop grant proposals, and manage contracts with outside agencies. Will supervise and develop prevention staff and serve as a member of the agency’s Leadership Council.
