Medication Disposal for Guilford County

Hi, Guilford County! The time has come to eliminate your outdated or unused medications. The Summerfield Fire District, Cone Health, the High Point Police Dept, Healthy Guilford, Deep River Drug, Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS), and Safe Guilford are working together to sponsor another medication disposal initiative.
Please note below that there are three locations where you can turn in your expired or unused medication. The program begins October 24th and runs through October 26rd. Prescription medication serves an important purpose in aiding people’s physical recovery & pain management needs, but it also presents a problem in our community with prescribed meds often being misdirected or misused.
The Guilford County Medication Disposal Program is an excellent means of reducing the availability of medications that are no longer used and that may have expired. Thanks in advance for your participation in keeping our community safer from the dangers of medication misuse.
